  2. 1. Recently, I read a story of, “a teenager who planned to have an abortion but instead gave birth to a baby she says was killed when clinic staffers put it into a plastic bag and threw it in the trash.” The Doctor, whose clinic partook in this action, recently went to court and was punished by having his license revoked. Proving that natural rights, which are still very much a part of this countries value system have to be preserved at all costs. As John Locke stated, as one if his beliefs of the natural rights of a human being, when a person is born, they instantly have a right to life. Regardless of the value or length of that life. The Doctor and the clinic were promoting the theft of this and other infant’s lives and they had to be punished to preserve the natural right of life for human beings in America, in order to set an example for anyone else that would like to inhibit these natural born rights.

    2. “The Senate overwhelmingly approved legislation yesterday to provide health insurance to 11 million low-income children, a bill that would for the first time spend federal money to cover children “Classical Republicanism accentuates the need to take care of everyone in the group and have equality throughout a small community. While America is no small community, President Obama recently passed a bill that very much draws upon the values our framers so very much admired. This bill allows parents all over America who cannot afford to have health care for their selves, to still have health care for their children. In doing this, Obama has made certain that every child who lives in the United States of America can have equal chances of health care. Providing for everyone in such drastic proportion is exactly the way classical republicanism is meant to work. It also creates the values of sameness that were needed for this type of government to function. Now each child has a link, or similarity with each other.

    3. President Obama is a federalist. I’m lead to this conclusion by the way he promotes the unity of the United States of America. Especially in his numerous speeches claming that ‘Yes, we can’. Throughout his campaign he continuously focused on uniting the people and the fact that we’re all part of this country together. In uniting the people and, as a result all the separate state governments together he is trying to create a strong central government. A strong central government makes the power over the separate state governments more solid, further uniting all of the people of the U.S. And in a way, defining what a Federalist is. He plans to take charge, as President of the United States and have a heavy hand in the economic crisis. Such involvement in the government and state affairs proves that Obama runs on a federalist based system of government.
